KIM NAM GIL’s saying (English translated from original Korean), a part of the interview with ALLKPOP, USA. In January 2010, KNG took the photo shoot trip with Marie Claire Korea in Nevada and Arizona, USA, with a stop by and filming a PSA for the Center for the Pacific Asian Family (CPAF) which helps women who sufferred from domestic violence and sexual assaut in Los Angeles, California, USA.
Partially presented below is the interview part with the aforementioned quotation of KNG :
ALLKPOP : You are so busy with many things yet you agreed to appear in a public service announcement. Tell us about it.
KNG : The Center for the Pacific Asian Family (CPAF) helps women who are victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. These are important issues that most people are uncomfortable talking about. But it’s happening all around us. I am sure we all know someone who has suffered. Because of the shame associated, these people live in fear and feel that they must remain silent, but it should not be something we should let go on. I feel it is my responsibility to give a voice to those who cannot be heard. CPAF helps so many Korean women living in the US, as well as Chinese, Japanese, Filipino, Vietnamese, South Asian and others. There is a contest on Facebook where Chase is giving away $5 million. I’m told that this organization finished in the top 100 out of 500,000 groups in the first round. Now, they have a chance to win $1 million. If appearing for a few moments in their video can help them, then I felt compelled to join the many other actors from the US and Asia that helped out. So I ask all of you to take a few moments to vote for this worthy cause. Your one vote may bring help and hope to many.
